Weekend East City Event Round Up

Friday September 24
The Gallery at Vivid Solutions presents "Instantaneous?”  re-mixing old school instant photography in a digital era, projects by Rachel Beamer & Lindsay Talley.  From 6pm to 9pm.

Right around the corner, Honfleur Gallery will showcase a solo exhibition of paintings by DC artist Billy Colbert, “Gain the World, Lose Your Soul”. Note that this show begins an hour later than Vivid Solutions’ and starts at 7pm running to 9pm.

Saturday September 25
The Brentwood Arts Exchange is offering free classes for young artists at their center on Route 1 but you must register to attend.  Details here

The Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL)  will be at the 8th Street Fall Festival this Saturday from noon to 6pm showcasing original work from their members.

The Capitol Hill Arts Workship (CHAW)  will continue its Saturday open figure drawing classes this fall.  The models are professionals who hail from the prestigious Washington Figure Model Guild .  $20 for drop-in; $15 if you register for a four class block.
